Additive manufacturing

A group of manufacturing methods that produces objects by gradually building them layer by layer based on a digital 3D-model.

Laminated Object Manufacturing, LOM

Process Additive manufacturing method where the cross section of the detail is cut into a thin material which is then successively glued to the previous layer.

Laser engineered net shaping, LENS

Process Additive manufacturing method in which the product is built up layer by layer by continuously feeding of metal powder or metal wire melted in to a laser beam.

Multi Jet Fusion, MJF

Process Additive manufacturing where a powder is bonded and cured layer by layer to build a 3D-object..

Polyjet Printing, PP

Process Additive manufacturing method in which a printer head builds objects using liquid thermoplastics that are cured with UV light.

Selective deposition lamination, SDL

Process Additive manufacturing method where the cross section of the detail is cut into paper which is then successively glued to the previous layer.

Selective Heat Sintering, SHS

Process Additive manufacturing method that uses sintering with a thermal print head solidify a powder, layer by layer, to create a 3D object.

Solid Ground Curing, SGC

Process Additive manufacturing method in which liquid plastic is solidified by UV light, the entire area of the current layer is processed in one step.
