Coating

Atomic layer deposition, ALD

Process Coating process where a workpiece is sequentially coated by two different gasses in a heated vacuum container.

Black chromate plating

Process Surface coating process where the workpiece through an anode-cathode reaction is coated with a thin decorative layer of hexavalent chrome with a black tone.

Copper plating

Process Surface coating process where the workpiece through an anode-cathode reaction is coated with a layer of copper.

Curtain coating

Process Surface coating process where a surface coating paint continuously flows like a curtain over a passing workpiece.

Electro-galvanization

Process Surface coating processing the workpiece through an anode-cathode reaction in a salty solution is coated with a thin and ductile layers of zinc.

Electrolytic-polishing

Process Polishing process where the workpiece is immersed in a heated electrolyte and where the workpiece is subjected to a current so that its surface is partially ionized and dissolved.

Enameling

Process Surface coating process where the workpiece is sprayed with a slurry of powdered glass and cured in an oven.

Flame spraying

Process Surface coating method in which a metal is melted in a flame spray gun and then spray coats the substrate.

Gas dynamic cold spray (GDCS)

Process Coating method where a powder using supersonic gas jet is thrown against the workpiece and is attached by plastic deformation.

Gold plating

Process Application of a thin layer of gold with the help of an anode-cathode reaction between parts and the blank.
