RZ Pressmetall has a very broad material knowledge, its own heat treatment and long experience, and our customers are in the defense and manufacturing industries, among other places.
Hot forged materials are strong, have low weight - and unlike cast parts, hot forged parts have high accuracy and are without porosity. Hot forging is a processing method where a heated blank in solid form is pressed directly to the desired design under high pressure in a two-part mold. It is an efficient material use and minimizes the need for subsequent cutting machining. With our method and with hardenable aluminum alloys, we produce the best properties in the materials.
Hot forged parts in mainly aluminum can be given a decorative and durable finish with the help of anodizing or hard anodizing. These are surface treatments that strengthen the parts' corrosion protection and make them more resistant to abrasion thanks to a thicker and harder oxide.
