The process

Before processing can begin the work should have been cleaned to remove dirt and oils on its surface. Moreover, the surface may, for example, have been sandblasted to create a surface that the zinc can better attach to. Two metal wires [1] are fed through the gun, and meet at its opening. Connected a power supply creates an arc between the energized wires, which means that they melt. Compressed air [2] which is supplied through the center of the gun is focused on the arc which pulverizes molten material and ejects it on the workpiece that is coated.
