The process

[A] A molten metal is poured into a container [1] with a press piston at the bottom. The position of the container at the filling can be varied horizontally or vertically, depending on the machine's structure and needs.

[B] The container is placed and pressed with a pressing force against the mold [2] which also holds the two mold halves. Press piston then presses the melt into the mold with a pressure of between 50-300MPa. The pressure is maintained until the melt solidified.

Thereafter, the mold is separated and the finished part is pushed out of the mold by an ejector [3].
