The process

A woven fiber [1] is pulled continuously through a solution vessel [2] to be dipped in a dissolved polymer and curing agent. The fabric is passed through preforming rollers [3] to squeeze out excess solution. The preformed wire is pulled further through a die [4] that form the fabric into the desired profile. Heating elements [5] are then used to cure the profile which is then cut up into desired lengths.

Advantages and disadvantages
In comparison with alternative methods
Lower cost than the injection molding
Controlled surface finish
Suitable for all forms of constant thickness
Non-recyclable waste composite
Limited to products with uniform or nearly uniform cross section
