The process

The cutting tool is positioned and angled to align to the desired result for the workpiece and mounted in rotation at relatively high speed. The workpiece is rotating towards the cutting body but not positioned on the center axis, but rather next to the rotating cutting edges. When the workpiece is cut along the cutting edge chips are formed by chip breaking and in combination with the workpiece is moved axially and as a result, an external thread pattern is formed on the workpiece.
